Healing in Our Grief

We cannot go back and and undo the damage from yesterday, but we can undo damage it is causing today. The walls you have built have not protected you, they have infected you.
You feel as though you must put up walls of protection, but in doing that you have kept God, and others, from reaching out to you in kindness. The greater the pain -The greater the gain.
This is the time of the real trust test. It is very easy to trust God when everything has gone fine, and you feel as though you are in control. When the time comes to trust God, are you willing to pay the price? Are you willing to absorb the loss?
Romans 8:28 (NIV) says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, and have been called according to His purpose". Do we really believe this verse? It is easy to talk the talk but, much harder to walk the walk.
Isaiah 53:5 says, "...by His stripes we are healed". I think we take this as physical pain only. This includes emotional pain as well.
We are in a big hurry at times to get our physical hurts and pains fixed whether it be by therapy or even surgery. We will go through what it takes to get better.
Why do we then want to cover and hide behind a mask of who we really are? God wants us to believe Him and trust Him for our emotional pain as well.
Why not trust God again and give your hurts to the Almighty King who can deliver us, and make and mold us to be more like Him.
